Tie up the relations to prevent e-mail spoofing
The long week-end gave me the opportunity to have a deeper look into the anti-spamming proposal from Microsoft Caller ID for E-Mail. Sounds reasonable and doable
A few google searches further I found - SPF (Sender Policy Framework) - a similar approach but already alive and used by many ISPs! Unlucky enough that Network Solutions does not allow me to add a TXT entry in my DNS records. I wrote them a "feature request"...
Anyway - for Fastmail users - add a TXT entry to your DNS record with "v=spf1 mx ptr:messagingengine.com -all" - that will block (on a SPF aware MTA) all mails send with your domain in "From" not sent by the messagingengine.com host.
Tie up your DNS entries to stop spamming (or at least make it harder).

Update: It looks like the old Network Solution DNS Manager could manage TXT records - but they removed the feature in the new Account Manager.
