Mac Virus - It's all hollow words!

As Michael put it nicely:

You take ANY OS and get someone to run an application that appears one way but really deletes all of your files and they will suffer from the results of this action. As always, trust the files and applications you receive and execute. This isn't news at all. This is like saying if I hit my finger with a hammer, it will hurt. Well DUH.

Come back with news when you figured out how to "seamless" install a virus over the network like the Slammer or Blaster on Mac OS X!

Btw: somebody in my extended friends circle has the Worm.Bagle.CP virus and is daily sending out virus spam! Buy yourself a decent virus checker or switch!

You have a choice.

I just ran across this and had to laugh. "I hit my finger with a hammer, it will hurt. Well DUH."

It blows me away nearly everyday at how amazingly stupid some people are. Just yesterday, I went to help someone at work who was having PC problems. It turned out to be malware.

I see this happen a lot and is actually installed by the user themselves much of the time (although they don't admit it). They are downloading and installing something for shopping coupons, smileys for their email or games. Sadly, it actually tells them in the EULA that they are going to install something else to "enhance" their browsing experience. But who ever reads those when all you ever really have to do is check I accept and click OK?
